where to shop
If you use the virtual styling tool, you can often get ideas for outfits, and then find something like it at a local store.
Poshmark is a great website with second-hand clothing. You can often find high-end brands at a discounted price.
When searching for outfits, use the tips from the Styling Guide. Choose your color palette first, so you know what you’re looking for. Remember that texture and clothes that encourage movement (swaying, swishing, twirling) photograph beautifully!
Men and boys can be pretty simple. A pair of jeans or long pants, with a solid color shirt and you’re good to go! Polo shirts are not recommended as they are too thick and stiff. Relaxed looks such as shirts that can be worn untucked, casual button downs, v-neck t-shirts all create a natural look.
Also, don’t forget the shoes! Old sneakers will detract from the beautiful cohesive look you’ve created for your family!
The links below are for shops that have items that photograph well. There are a variety of prices, so you can mix and match what works for you. I usually find the basics at stores like Old Navy and JCrew (shop for hubby and boys), and then find more unique pieces for the girls in some of the other options. But it’s completely up to you!
The links below are meant to be helpful suggestions. Happy exploring!
